Rotating Respite Services

Rotating Respite Services are provided with the core intent of accommodating a higher volume of families requiring support in caring for their children.  This initiative is structured to provide services within one specific location so as to strengthen community ties and access to resources within that community.  Our “person centered” approach allows us the opportunity to provide individualized planning and care for each youth during their stay at the home. The primary focus is to provide a healthy and safe environment while supporting the development of daily living skills specific to each youth’s capacity, while engaging in preferred activities and maintaining all relevant daily structures and routines.  A comprehensive report is provided to all stakeholders at the conclusion of each cycle. As well,  the respite service and its overall impact is reviewed with the families and funders regularly so as to establish future needs.
